Publish Dataset from DIAS

DIAS aims to sustainably promote and support research activities by maintaining and managing data related to the global environmental field over the long term and to return the results to society. In particular, we believe we are responsible for playing a specific role in maintaining and releasing research and public data produced at public expense in Japan.

Therefore, DIAS is offering consultation on data release for the following persons. Please contact the DIAS office if you would like to make a request.

For owners of research data

  • Those who are required to publish their research data as a requirement for paper submission.
  • Those who want to publish their research data using existing data publishing services but cannot register and publish their data due to data capacity limitations, registration fees, etc.

Private Link Service

If you have written or submitted a paper on data to be registered and published in DIAS, and the reviewers need anonymous access to the data, we offer a so-called “Private Link” service. Please refer to this link for details.

For owners of public sector data

  • Local government officials who are actively involved in open government and open data
  • Public organizations that are struggling to maintain data management systems and costs in their day-to-day operations
  • Owners of public data that are difficult to handle, such as those requiring specialized skills.

When you publish from DIAS...

  • Your dataset will be registered not only in the DIAS search system but also in other dataset search systems, such as GEO and Google Dataset Search, and will become easily findable.
  • Your dataset will be assigned the DOI.
