About DIAS Accounts

Q: How to change the email address for my DIAS account?

A:
DIAS accounts are keyed to email addresses, so it is impossible to change them for systematic reasons.
If you would like to change your e-mail address, you have to register again with a new e-mail address.
https://auth.diasjp.net/account/public/en/guest/

After registering a new DIAS account and confirming your login, please delete your old account after logging in with your former one(*Note).

Note: In the following cases, it is necessary to change the linkage from the old account to the new account. Please inform the DIAS Secretariat Support Desk ( dias-officediasjp.net ) without deleting the old one.

  • – You are using a data set for which a license application is required, and you have received permission to use it.
  • – You are in the process of inputting metadata to data for which your data registration has been accepted, or has already been published.
  • – You are using the DIAS analysis environment.

(See next page for deletion method.)

Q: How to delete my DIAS account?

A:
Please log in with the DIAS account you would like to deactivate and proceed to the “Edit Profile” screen below to delete the account (*Note).

Troubleshooting

Q: There are some missings in the dataset.

A:
Please contact the DIAS Secretariat Support Desk ( dias-officediasjp.net ) with the following information;
・Name of the dataset (directory)
・Information of the missing part (e.g., date, etc.)
NOTE: Some data cannot be restored due to the circumstances of the data providers.

Q: Why can’t I download the dataset?

A:
Please check the following conditions:

  • -There is the data that requires a usage license. For details, please refer to “User Guide” and the metadata page of each dataset.
  • -In case a dataset requires a license, you will not be able to download it if the usage deadline has expired. Please apply it again.
  • -DIAS may be suspended for an irregular period. Please check the “News” to see whether you are currently in that period or not.

If you are unable to download the data using the download script, please contact the DIAS Secretariat Support Desk ( dias-officediasjp.net ) with the following information to the best of your knowledge.

  • -Information on the data set you are trying to download
(e.g. Data set name, directory, and other information that identifies the target data)
  • -Result of the download experiment
(e.g. Only some files were extracted, files are 0 bytes, etc.)
  • -Information on downloaded scripts.
(e.g. Whether or not there is a change. (If you have made changes, please give us specific information)
  • -Command-line options are given to the script at runtime.
  • -Output messages (e.g. message text or screenshots)

Q: Downloading data speed is too slow.

A:
There is no explicit limitation on the DIAS side.
We don’t put any periodic network load to DIAS systems.

Because of limited bandwidth, a high concentration of multiple downloads may cause a delay in the transfer, resulting in a loss of session time.

Please try them below:

  • -Reduce the number of files downloaded at one time.
  • -If you are accessing multiple terminals at the same time, use only one terminal.

If the problem isn’t solved after trying, please contact the DIAS Secretariat Support Desk ( dias-officediasjp.net ) with the specific situation.
